DofE Senior Instructor Positions 2025
Role: DofE Senior Instructor.
Start date: March 2025 onwards.
Pay: £175 per day.
Extras: £10 DofE assessor report writing allowance, £40 named driver allowance.
Contract: Non-contract - This is a freelance position.
Location: Operating from our Kendal HQ, UK-wide.
Minimum qualification requirement:
Bronze Award - Basic Expedition Leadership/Walking Group Leader/Lowland Leader/Countryside Leader
Silver Award - Hill and Moorland Leader
Gold Award - Mountain Leader(Summer)

We are recruiting Freelance Senior Instructors to join our industry leading team for 2025 onwards.
Successful candidates will be active outdoor instructors, with experience of expedition delivery with various AAPs, outdoor education, and adventure companies similar to ours.
Applicants must be high-performing professionals with the ability to work effectively with our team, and participants from differing backgrounds.
Ideally, the candidate will have substantial experience in the DofE expedition section or similar.
Our DofE courses operate throughout the U.K.
DofE Senior Instructor positions are available to those with (as a minimum);
DofE Expedition Assessor.
Safeguarding Qualification.
1 year/season operating with Sam Sykes Ltd.
25+ Days booked across the upcoming season.
Commitment to work during our busiest periods (eg 10+ Days, June/July)
2 x Outstanding Appraisal Feedback Forms achieved.
Recruitment process
Candidates should email the Operations Manager directly.
Candidates should outline in the email their eligibility for the role of Senior Instructor.
After the candidates eligibility for the role has been approved by the Operations Manager, their application for the role will be passed on to the CEO.
The CEO will then review the application for approval
