WHY?
The outdoors needs to be more accessible to more young people. Current “adventurous” or “outdoor learning” offerings are often either too time-hungry on behalf of the participant and the school or not long enough to have a meaningful positive impact. Even with multi-day exposure to the outdoors, the level of learning is sometimes minimal. The same is to be said of one-day taster sessions. There is not enough time to immerse the participant into the environment and achieve valuable positive learning from it.
We had to develop a product that maximises immersion and learning, in an outdoor environment which, when facilitated correctly, creates quality self-reflection and discovery in a short time frame, leading to a more accessible price point for schools and participants alike.
WHAT IS IT?
We have condensed the most impactful learning components of the outdoors, into a 24-hour package that achieves full immersion into the environment and developmental learning through personal reflection and discussion. We believe that this approach will have a more positive impact than the majority of current outdoor education offerings achieve.
HOW IS IT DONE?
One of our instructors will take twelve young people into a wild and inspirational landscape that is untouched by man for 24 hours.
The participants will be given a warm sleeping bag, a bivi bag (A waterproof and breathable bag into which a participant can get themselves and their sleeping bag for a warm and dry night’s sleep), a 24-hour ration pack that heats itself when required and a pencil and notebook. The participants will not be able to take with them any electrical items including mobile phones, music players, or even torches.
At noon the instructor will lead the group of twelve participants into the environment where they will stay for 24 hours. There will be some walking required to get to this location but no more than an hour or so. On arrival at the location, the instructor will run through sleeping areas, toilet systems, and a safety brief followed by an itinerary of what will happen.

HOW CAN MY SCHOOL GET INVOLVED IN THIS?
We need twelve young people ideally from the same year group (Yr9/10 would be perfect) to come up to North West England and enjoy this experience with us. Once you have twelve young people, please contact HQ directly with the availability of the group, upon which a mutually convenient date will be booked and consent forms will be sent to you. That’s it. If you have any questions or would like to discuss any of the points above please feel free to contact us directly.
