Standard Daily rate is £170, if you have worked with us before, you also know that Sam pays everyone really quickly, and normally within a week of receiving your invoice, if not the same day. You may also know that we will continue to pay for campsite fees, and £10 per group assessor report submitted to us. Additionally any designated drivers of Sam Sykes vans will receive an extra £30-£60 per expedition if driving to the expedition the night before it is due to start. If driving our vehicle to an expedition on the day of the expedition there is no additional payment. 

When you apply for an expedition please ensure you include the date in full with the month and area.

This way we can all be sure exactly what you would like to do, and the allocation of work is correct.

On Standby

Due to an increasingly high number of bookings over the next season we are looking for ‘On Standby’ Instructors during our busiest periods.

This work will involve the ability to be ‘On Standby’ for a period of time during April, May, and June. You must be able to commit to blocks of work (multiples of consecutive days) and be able to travel to a venue within a 2-3 hour time window.

We are offering £50 a day for every day you are ‘On Standby’ and £170 a day for every day you are called in to work on an Expedition.

Mileage to and from the venue will be paid as expenses at £0.45p a mile if you are called while ‘On Standby’ to an active expedition. (Please note that this ONLY applies to ‘On Standby’ Instructors and not ‘Booked’ Instructors)
