Yorkshire Dales

A National Park covering 841 sq miles of Yorkshire, Cumbria and Lancashire. A mixture of moorland, limestone pavement, hills and valleys. Some of the best examples of limestone pavement can be found here, Malham Cove being the most famous. Popular filming location, Harry Potter, The Witcher and Downton Abbey to name a few were filmed in part here. Home to the Yorkshire 3 Peaks-Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent

Campsite Locations

We use a number of different campsites in the area. These range from sites that can accommodate large numbers with full facilities to farms that offer a more basic traditional DofE feel.

Campsites are located in areas that allow multiple routes to be planned, catering for mixed abilities from a single school. The more adventurous teams can summit the nearby fells.

Camping in vans for Sam Sykes staff is not always possible due to requirements of expedition. You will be informed if this is the case.
