DofE Instructor Positions 2027
We are recruiting Freelance Instructors to join our industry leading team for 2027 onwards.
We have 2 levels of instructor position, outlined below, Instructor and Core Instructor.
Successful candidates will be active outdoor instructors, with experience of expedition delivery with various AAPs, outdoor education, and adventure companies similar to ours.
Applicants must be high-performing professionals with the ability to work effectively with our team, and participants from differing backgrounds.
Ideally, the candidate will have substantial experience in the DofE expedition section or similar, or working towards becoming an Expedition Assessor.
Our DofE courses operate throughout the U.K.

Role: DofE Instructor.
Start date: March 2027 onwards.
Pay: £160 per day.
Extras: £30 - £60 named driver allowance.
Contract: Non-contract - This is a freelance position.
Location: Operating from our Kendal HQ, UK-wide.
Minimum requirements:
Qualification-
Bronze Award - Basic Expedition Leadership/Walking Group Leader/Lowland Leader/Countryside Leader
Silver Award - Hill and Moorland Leader
Gold Award - Mountain Leader(Summer)
Additionally-
16 hour outdoor first aid
Current Enhanced DBS (under 3 years old, or on the update service)

Extras: £30 - £60 named driver allowance. £10 per group expedition report.
Contract: Non-contract - This is a freelance position.
Location: Operating from our Kendal HQ, UK-wide.

The outlined requirements in the instructor specifications
Proof of right to work in the UK details (passport, driving license, etc).
Two references
Successful candidates will be called to interview either online or face-to-face.
After a successful interview, access to the instructor page will be granted giving access to the next stage and induction process.
Complete the online induction process.
If selected, new staff will undergo a short probationary period during their first expeditions with us.
