Programme and Group Introductions, medical check
Navigation skills
Day walk to cover practical aspects map and compass skills.
First aid
Emergency procedures
17:00 – Return to campsite
Stove demo
Hygiene talk
Tent pitching
Dinner
Route planning for qualifying expedition
Qualifying Expedition: Day 1
11:00 – Start
Brief review of route.
Pack Rucksacks
Depart on planned route with full kit.
Remote supervision or check point as appropriate
18.00 Arrive at Camp
set up tents, cook meal, sort out routes for following day
Day Two
Practice Expedition: Day 1
07:30 – Start
Depart camp with full kit
Remote supervision or check point as appropriate
18:00 – Evening session
Cook dinner under supervision
Route planning for qualifying expedition
Qualifying Expedition: Day 2
Depart camp with full kit
Remote supervision or check point as appropriate
17.00 Arrive at Camp
