Ashdown Forest

Forms part of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Made up of ancient woodland and open heath. Famous for being the setting for the Winnie the Pooh books. Home to rare species of birds and insects, one of the rarest habitats in the world.

Campsite Locations

We use a number of different campsites in the area. These range from sites that can accommodate large numbers with full facilities to farms that offer a more basic traditional DofE feel.

Campsites are located in areas that allow multiple routes to be planned, catering for mixed abilities from a single school.

Camping in vans for Sam Sykes staff is not always possible due to requirements of expedition. You will be informed if this is the case.
