Parking In car park. If using the area around the football pitch use the left car park. If in the farmers field use the right car park.

Please park considerately, the car park is small and used by other site users. If there isn’t enough space or you are leaving your vehicle for a number of days there is free on road parking on Shepherds Lane.

Please park so you do not inconvenience other site users, typically parking as far away from the main building as possible.

Specific Issues

Tents need to be pitched around the outside of the football pitch and MUST use the supplied plastic pegs.

Students MUST walk around the pitch, not across it as this damages it.

There is a stile from the field we camp in that leads to the field the public footpath runs through. This is NOT to be used as a short cut, it is for retrieving footballs only. Students need to access the footpath from Shepherds Lane.

Cooking is to be done on the path or carpark, not under the canopy. No cooking on the grass or veranda.

No congregating in the toilet/changing areas/corridors.

Toilets and showers are accessible by a coded door. The code changes yearly.

The site has a bar, so there are other users on the premises. Not normally a problem. Students are not to go into the bar or gym.

Other outdoor companies use it as a base. Ensure the groups find the staff from Sam Sykes LTD.

Camping in vans for Sam Sykes staff is not always possible due to requirements of expedition. You will be informed if this is the case.
